Cannot delete image link

I pasted a table from David Leip's election atlas and now the little pie chart images that go to the site when you click on them won't delete. I have tried clearing and deleting cells and pasting over the content. There is no way to remove them I am incredulous

edit I just accidentally selected and removed one but how do I select them when clicking on them goes to a webpage, and there is no Selection Pane unlike in Word, I hate when Microsoft tries to be clever and not include features in Excel that are in Word because it "customizes" them to their purpose

edit I found it in a menu but I have to click 112 items in a list one by one? why cant it conceive that there could be a need to delete things en masse. microsoft must be like patting itself on the back for being a minimalistic genius because it makes no sense
