    Restrict drop down list to a specific user

    Hi, can anyone help with the below -

    "Sheet 1" - I have set up data validation a drop down list on Column A named "Country" ; which feeds from the range list "Country" on Column H on Sheet 2.

    "Sheet 2" - Under Column H "Country" range list i have these options
    - Japan
    - Australia
    - China
    - India

    So if my username is "User001", I can only see "Australia" to select from the drop down list on Column A in Sheet 1.
    And if my username is "User008", I can only see "Japan" to select from the drop down list on Column A in Sheet 1.
    And for all other users, they can see all 4 countries to select from the drop down.

    Hi and welcome

    If using VBA is an option for you then something like the below open event could work.

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    It will check the current username when the file is opened and will allocate the available drop down values from there.
