Data Validation with Indirect Error

Hello,

I am trying to create a dependent dropdown list that will list all the ticket numbers for a site name. I am trying to use the =INDIRECT($F2) and currently get "The Source currently evaluates to an error. Do you want to Continue?" If I click "Yes" nothing shows up in the dropdown list. Am I doing something wrong or is there a better way to do this?

So what I am tipping is that your site names are in a drop down in F2 and your ticket numbers are in named ranges somewhere with those names being your site names?

You are probably getting the error because the named range you have in cell F2 doesn't exist yet.

Create your named range with the name that is in cell F2 and make sure it refers to the range of cells (ticket numbers) that you want in your drop down for that site.
