    Re: Date 1905

is the date field the results of a calculation?
if so we'd need to see the calculation and your workbook settings - for example are your workbook settings (under options) using the 1904 date system?

    Re: Date 1905

@masafi.ermo.... My guess is: you are entering just the year number (2016, 2018 and 2019) -- as the column title suggests -- then formatting the cells as Date.

Instead, you should format the cell as General or Number with zero decimal places.

FYI, Excel dates are stored as integers, namely the number of days after 31/12/1899 (normally).

So if you format the integers 2016, 2018 and 2019 as Date, they will appear to be dates that are that number of days after 31/12/1899, which are 7/7/1905, 10/7/1905 and 11/7/1905 that you see.

No, the date is not as a result of any calculation, but entered as normal date. Excel sheet is attached herewith for reference.

See my posting #3. A year number is not a "normal date". See column H in the attached file.

If you want the year number to look like a "normal date" (d/m/yyyy), what day and month do you expect to see?

If you want day 1 of month 1, you must enter the "normal date" 1/1/2015, not just 2015, for example.

But your title of column G is "Year". So I would expect to see just a year number (2015) in column G, which is exactly what you entered.

In that case, just format column G as I suggested in posting #3.
