OLE message issue

Hello,

I have large excel files (up to 4Gb). On some computers, when opening the files, a message pops up:
"Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action"

I have ensured there are no external links, no errors in the defined names, I have tried removing all pivot tables/charts & slicers.

The issue only typically occurs on the first time of opening, after which the message tends not to re-appear.
On opening the file the 1st time, if you wait for 15-20 minutes before clicking 'OK' on the OLE message, the file opens correctly.

The files are being shared through SharePoint.

The issue only occurs on some devices.

My assumption is that the issue is a combination of file size and device specs.

Is there anything else I could try to fix/prevent the OLE issue occurring and the long opening time for the files?
