Sum is auto filling into multiple cells except just the one cell intended

when I take C2:C13 with the sum function for G2 it auto fills G2-13. In the function bar everything is greyed out and the "table" is highlighted in a blue box. How do I get rid of this blue box and auto fill?

Nevermind! Apparently I was having a massive brain fart and was adding sum after the = mark lol.
