I have an email list of over 5000 names. Some emails appear more than once on the list. How do I tell Excel to search the spreadsheet, eliminate the duplicate entries and shift the cells up when the entry is deleted? TY so much!! The Excel spreadsheet just has one column - emails.

If you select the data and then click on the Data Tab you can find the group of icons called Data Tools. Click on the one with an "x" in it to "Remove Duplicates" and it should do what I think you want. Please do this on a backup first....
Another method with the newer version of Excel is to use the Unique() function.
