Hyperlink to selected pic in cells

Hi All,

As a new business owner I want to make things easy as I can for my accountants and myself. Part of that is creating an Excel file that has certain columns where when you click a cell in a row and it it asks for a jpeg file to use as reference. This would be for receipt tracking and validating if it was paid or not. So lets say column G was the link to the bill itself and Column H was the receipt. How can I simply click on the cell and have it ask for a reference to the appropriate jpeg or pdf file then hold that reference? Im going to make a master read only template then copy the original file over to a new folder each time based upon month. Just need to figure out how to link a line item expenditure to a pic.

FYI I'm making this for someone who has very little experience with Excel. I could easily hyperlink to a file but would be nice to just click it and have it ask for the pic.

Well, thanks for that. Since Im starting from scratch I dont really have an example workbook of what I tried and didn't try. After an exhaustive search for days not knowing how to explain it I finally ran across the correct answer.

Create a userform and then a text box with the following code:

I know how to add text box info to a worksheet, just didnt know how to call explorer to enter a selection into a text box.

Sorry for wasting your time and mine. I wasnt looking for a hand out, just a direction where to go. Look at my post count since 2018. Very small. I try to figure it out myself before bothering anyone.

Did you notice the lack of responses you received from your question?
Zero responses would indicate nobody knows what you are asking, which is why I asked for a sample workbook hoping that would help you clarify your question.

Sorry davesexcel, I meant no offense. I guess I was too wordy in my description, so it probably turned a lot of people off to answering. As far as an example worksheet, I was starting from scratch so all that would have been there is a blank sheet.

I do sincerely appreciate all the help you folks have given for years upon years, and humbly apologize for the wording I used.
