Freeze panes issue: Duplicate top row and unexpected display

Hi, Happy Friday!
I used a custom view and my display expanded to five times the normal size and the top row was duplicated.
The top row is normally frozen. Unfreezing the top row reset the display and the custom view was in place. But, now, scrolling means the top row scrolls along with the other thousand rows. I also shut down and restarted Excel after verifying that no excel was running via task manager. The problem persists. I'm at a loss because I have four custom views so that certain columns are copied and pasted into reporting emails. So I use the feature every day. And, I've always had the top row frozen. Has anyone seen this behavior before?
