This Balance formula is very easy to do in paper challenging in Excel

I have to use only 3 cells. Let's say A1 for initial inventory amount, C1 for total balance of inventory, and B1 which is the cell where i have to input daily the quantity used which is deducted from cell A1.

I need that C1 show everytime the new result when i input the new quantity used daily.

I can not use more rows nor more cells because the are filled with other data as well as I receive daily new inventory with different items that are used daily.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Show us what you mean.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

Re: This Balance formula is very easy to do in paper challenging in Excel

    Example:

Initial Inventory quantity (30 units) in cell A1
In any given day, I took 10 units and I input this amount in cell B1
The cell C1 show the balance with the formula =A1-B1

But this formula is no practical when the cell B1 is added the new quantity used because C1 do not memorize the prior balance.

    How to fit this?
