    When opening a file it shows on excel files, want it to show all files

    Need it to show excel files, and csv files

    In the Open dialog select All Files.

    Yes, I can select as you suggested. But I wanted to have it default to all files, not all excel files. Any way to do it?

    You cannot change the default. You can write a macro for your own custom "file open" dialog that you would use instead of Excel's File Open dialog.
