Help needed: Specific tournament bracket problem

Hi. See attached. It's not exactly what you're after but quite close. It can only handle 8 players in the quarter finals. Instructions:

1. Check the Settings sheet to set the options you want in the tournament - change the 15 to 21 if you want to play full games (depends how much time and how many courts you have available).
2. On the Group A sheet, double-click the New Group button to create enough groups for your tournament.
3. In each Group X sheet, type the players names in Column B up to a maximum of 8 - everything else should fill out automatically.
4. When you've typed in all the names, double-click the Generate to create the fixtures for each group.
5. When the games have been played, type in the loser's score first - the winner's score will be filled in automatically. You can click Clear to clear out all the scores at any time.
6. Once all group games are completed, go to the Knockout sheet and double-click the Generate button to fetch the group winners into the knockout stage.
7. Again, when entering the scores in the Knockout sheet, enter the loser's score first and the winner's score will fill automatically.

I've run a few badminton tournaments myself with this spreadsheet so I hope it's a good start at least for you. I should warn you that you MUST NOT use copy/paste in this spreadsheet because it will most likely break the formatting.

It sounds like what I have always known as 'round robin' tournaments.

Ah! It's a doubles tournament but you want to track individual players. That sounds tricky and lots of work. Sorry I can't help there.
