Make an interactive workbook for my payslips

I want to calculate my own payslips with the hours I worked including overtime, holiday bonus, annual lv etc. I've made it where I have one payslip per workbook but my greedy self now wants all payslips in the fiscal year put into one [with automatically updating payslips]. I have an idea of what I want to do but the execution is challenging.

Hi, well, greedy you without an idea how your workbook looks like I don't know.
I suggest you attach a sample with some dummy data unless you want us to see how greedy you are and then it will be easier to do.
I don't use Office 365 but this will be basic Excel It might be possible with only formulas but it might also be necessary to write a macro for that.
Show the workbook with what you have and the idea of how you want it

I'm not sure how to upload files on this forum yet. I'm still quite new to vba in general as well.

Right now my payslips are organised like this "component" column, "this pay" column and "ytd" column.
YTD is the total of all past "this pay" in the current fiscal year. So I want to use something like

But this is with excel vba format

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

This is what 'Sheet1' looks like

Pay Period: 1 Pay Date: x
    From: 03/04/2021 To 06/04/2021

Component This Pay YTD Hours Rate
    Ord 250 250 10 25
    Perm1.5 0 0 0 37.5

    Gross 250 250

This is what 'Sheet2' looks like
    Columns A & B are what I'm focused on

    Pay Period Date Shift Hours
    1 03/04/2021 AM 4
    1 04/04/2021 na 0
    1 05/04/2021 na 0
    1 06/04/2021 na 0

Re: Make an interactive workbook for my payslips

I made it a little more interactive, both date fields are data validation lists and the period is calculated automatically based upon your entered date in B3 and next to BANK the end period based upon the last entered date
    All with formulas, no macros
Have fun playing around with formulas and Excel
