I am attempting to create a simple excel worksheet to calculate whether a person with multiple permissions assigned to them, essentially has a designated role. Most of the roles consists of multiple permissions and usually this work has been done manually in the past, however I really don’t know what I can use. I only really know how to use VLOOKUP, and not entirely sure its fit for purpose.
I have provided some sample data of what I am trying to achieve. Table 1 starts with a list of users and their permissions. 2nd table shows what certain permissions can accumulate too. The end result being a combination of permission or designated roles give to a person.
Can anyone advise me what I could use, or provide examples of what is better? Very happy to learn and achieve the end result myself. Will absolutely share end results with Forum once discovered![]()
