Cells/ area to left of freeze panes greyed/ not visible

Hi everyone

Lately, I've started facing a weird issue with Freeze Panes in excel. The cells/ area to the left of freeze panes is greyed/ not viewable (see cells A1 to H10 in attached screenshot). I am able to resolve the issue for a little while by simply unfreezing and freezing again. However, it comes back again after some time.

Has anyone else faced this issue previously or been able to solve it permanently?
