I have an Excel 2019 form for payroll. A set of cells are set to unlocked so that users can enter their hours be it regular, sick etc. I can tab through each cell when suddenly the tab does not go any further. I can tab through the first 18 cells of 56 then the tabbing won't work.Excel.JPG

So what happens when you are in that 18th cell and you hit Tab? Does it go back to position 1? If so, then double check to make sure that cells 19 onward are unprotected. Other than that, it's impossible to troubleshoot from an image. Upload the file in question as per the yellow banner at the top of the page.

The pix with the green square highlighted is where it stops tabbing. Just sits at cell 18. I won’t be able to upload anything until tomorrow evening. Thanks for responding. I’ll get back to you.
Here is the file. The tabbing stops at cell H18. The sheet is protected, but there is no password.
I unprotected it, then locked all of the cells, then unlocked the ones you want to tab through, and that seemed to fix it.

Yes, I tried it on a selection of cells first and curiously that did not fix it.
Not sure why it behaves this way but at least we have a solution.
If that solves the problem you can mark the thread closed and if you are happy then assign rep by clicking on the add reputation star.
The reason I think is there is one cell unlock that was merged (cell K18: Employee name). Try to delete it, or lock it then it should work.
You can see cell K29 is also merged but locked and it works for tabbing. Test by unlock K29, then row 30 does not work.

That makes sense,
I presume it wants to select K18 next... but because that is also K19 (which it cant select according to the rules) it cant select it and is stuck on the previous cell.
