Conditional Formatting a calendar for date entries

Hello! I need some help highlighting the calendar on the right (in attachment) based on the date entries on the left, does anyone know how to?

Attach a sample Excel workbook, rather than a picture of one. The yellow banner at the top of the screen gives details of how to do this.
