Hello Excel gurus,
I'm not sure the approach I need to have here and the function(s) which will be useful.
Perhaps an advance VLOOKUP function ?
I've got two Excel sheets of accounting data.
Essentially, dates, descriptions and amounts. Around 280 lines.
One of the Excel sheets is a CSV Export from the bank account.
The other one, is manual entries of the expenses in an accounting program.
I've got a discrepancy in the bank account balance between the Bank account export (which is correct) and the manual entries.
So I'm trying to flag what is missing from the manual entries. I suspect around 5 to 10 expenses are missing which gives me discrepancy where my manual accounting has a higher bank balance than the reality as it’s missing some expenses.

Once I converted the negative values (bank account export) to positive values, I will need to have a formula to compare both sheets. I’ve got them on the same file in separate tabs.
Is there a way to have an advance Vlookup function which will lookup for the amounts but also be comparing dates? t
That is: for a match to happen, the date needs to match as well as the expense amount.
Or is there another approach to this?
