Column width resets automaticly in Excel

Hello,

i have a weird problem. My customer uses the office version that was shipped with windows 10. I assume its 365 as I havent found any version number anywhere.
On my own system on Excel 2016 if i drag out my columns to the desired width the width gets saved automaticly when I save and close the file.
In my customers version this is not the case. Everytime i open the file the column width is reset to default. I found no option to change that behaviour.

Can anybody help me out?

Hi, welcome to the forum.
I don't know but it looks that either there is an addin installed that does something, with the information provided it's difficult to give an answer

thanks for the quick reply. I doubt that they use any add-ins. What kind of information would you need to make an educated guess?

No idea, never happend to me so I'm in the dark with this.
Looks like something maybe in the settings that keeps the cell selected ?
