Re: Hide Formulas when using NEW SPILL functions

If you want to hide one formula, why wouldn't you want to hide ALL formulas on a given worksheet? OK, I see you did. Good, that seems to be the only solution for this.

This looks like something MSFT didn't think through. This wouldn't be a first for the Excel developer team. Maybe this gets fixed in time, but since what appears in the formula bar is formatted differently for cells into which a formula spills, this appears to require changing what appears in the formula bar rather than cell formatting in the worksheet. Stipulating that, the ONLY way to hide the formula in spilled cells from the formula bar appears to be setting the Hidden property of ALL cells into which formulas could spill.

FWIW, I submitted a Feedback item on this, Note, though, that spilled formula work almost the same as traditional array formulas in this respect. If [G2].Hidden = True and [G2].Hidden = False, G2:G3 contained the formula ={1;2} entered as a traditional array formula, and the worksheet protected, no formula appears for G2, but the formula does appear for G3.
