turn off changing to date format

    Hi All,

I have multiple spreadsheets and I'm copying data from one to another then saving as a CSV for a 3rd party application. The problem I have is that as soon as I save, close and re-open, it converts numbers in one column to a date. Example is that it should read 04-01-1900. I've set the column first as text to no avail. It's also set as text in the one I'm copying from and pasted values only. I've tried turning off the calculation options and they revert back too when I re-open the file. Is there a template file or a registry setting that holds all the logged in user settings that will fix this?

Could not find anything on the net on how to resolve, and cannot upload file due to sensitive data contained.

    Any help appreciated.

thanx anyway, but before closing, I exported as text file which is enough for me at this stage to proceed and import into another 3rd party product set.

    I'll close this one....for now...lol
