    Countif Newbie help

    Hi,

Looking for a bit of help! (obvs)

I have only 2 columns of data. Column A is all the industry segments our customers fall under. there are 330 sales but only 24 unique segments in total.

I want a sort of distribution table here: how many sales between 0 & 50 did each of the segments do. Then >50 & <=150, then >150 & <=250 and so forth.

I've done my coountif to total the number between these values, but I can't for the life of me get it to do the same but for each segment.

Not sure how to upload as yet, just new here.

    Thanks,

    H

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

Not quite. Please mock up at least three rows of expected results manually.

    Re: Countif Newbie help

    Hi,

Basically I want to know using a formula, how many sales between £0 & £50 the Bakers, Bus Operator etc made.
    Then the same for £50+ & £150, then 151+ & £250. In the £0-£50 bracket, Bakers would be 0

    Re: Countif Newbie help

i'm not really sure what it is you want here. I thought I had come to a forum for help and explained my needs fairly well.

Mock up the results? Can anyone else understand my needs based on my post and data?

    Thanks

I understand your requirements, I think, but to be sure, we ask for a few manually mocked up results. This way, we can check that any solution offered really fits the bill.
