    Talking Ranking after alphabetizing

Hello all. I am fairly basic to excel but I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this. I want to alphabetize a sheet of data by the first word in the row, however if there is a tie (i.e. the same word) i then want to sort them by assigned rank. The rank would be determined by year with the oldest having the highest priority (i.e. 2007 being ranked over 2008) My sheet is for video game titles so here is an example

    Assassin's Creed II | 2007
    Assassin's Creed III | 2009
    Assassin's Creed Revelations | 2010
    Assassin's Creed IV | 2011

if i sort a to z it will put IV before revelations which based on the year in which the came out is incorrect. But by only sorting the word "Assassin's" and then comparing them to the year It would be perfect. I'm not sure how to do this and again I'm very basic in excel so all the VBA formulas is very confusing to me. If those methods are the only way and you want you could try to explain, I'm all ears!

Would suggest use helper column to rearrange textstring then sort both columns based on helper column
Assume original text string is in column A
    In B1:
    =LEFT(A1,SEARCH(" ",A1))&RIGHT(A1,4)
Drag down then sort column B
