Hi,
So I need to make data from an other excel file available in a file accessible to bottom end employees. It needs to update automatically. The source is in the same server than the receiver. The source file can lose rows or gain some. When I use paste link and try to update existing rows in the source, everything works fine. But when I try to delete or add rows, it's not updating correctly in the receiver.
Try this:
- enter 1 to 10 in A1 to A10
- then create a new file (not a new sheet)
- select A1 to A15 in file 1 and copy
- then go to file 2 and paste with link
- now try to remove the 1 in cell A1 of the file 1
- see the file 2 update
- now try to add a row after A1, nothing happens in file 2
- press ctrl Z to go back
-now try to delete the whole A2 row
- we get an error.
How do I get the rows to update correctly?
I tried to find an answer on the net but nothing conclusive. I hope that I'm clear enough.
