Pivot Tables - Distinct Count Activated Omits Field Calculations

When using pivot tables I have the need to use the distinct count function. When I activated the distinct count function it turns off the access to "Field Calculations" Who can I use both functions "Distinct Count" & "Field Calculations"

Create PivotTable>Add this data to the Data Model
Value Field Settings>Distinct Count
Field, items & set>Calculation Field (grayed out, can not select)

If you checked in 'Add to data model', the calculated filed/items cannot be used.
Instead use the Measure tool under Power Pivot tab.
