Removing 3 numberes after a number

    Hi

I am up dating my company database contact list and making sure all the numbers start with +263

Some of the numbers came in the correct formatt +263772320090, otheres came as 772320090, the correct formatt is +263772320090.

I custom formatted the cell so that the number starts with +263 so the numbers that did not have +263 now do. The numbers that already had +263 now are +263263772320090

Is there a way of removing the secon 263 other than manually doing it.

    Many thanks

Creat the following custom format +263000000000 and apply to your range

You could try doing a Repace All searching for 263 and replacing with nothing (leave Replace with box empty). Or, perhaps less risky, Repace All searching for 2637 and replacing with 7.

Give this Custom Number Format a try...

    [< 1000000000]+263000000000;+000000000000

Note: You can leave or remove the space after the < sign as you wish (the forum's software made me put it there in order to be able to post that particular format pattern).
