Excel extremely slow now

It seems like it started yesterday where Excel is calculating really slow on all my workbooks.

Workbooks I've used for months with no changes are much slower now.

It also shows this Calculating (4 Threads) message that I've never seen before.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm using Office 365, has there been a recent change?

    Welcome to the forum.

You say there have been no changes to your workbook - are you sure? It sounds like it’s trying to handle a lot of data. Have you changed any formulae?

Thanks Ali! No, no changes to the workbook.

It's a workbook where I just copy and paste data into a data tab and then it will update on the report tab without me having to do much.

Starting yesterday, it even gives me a warning that what I'm about to do will take a long time and to check if I'm sure I want to do it. It never gave that waring before. I don't remember the exact wording because I checked a checkbox to not show me that anymore. Never seen it before yesterday.

But you say this is all workbooks, so have you restarted your system?

Check your data sheet. click END/HOME and see where you end up. If it is not where you KNOW the last row/column is, start CAREFULLY deleting rows and columns until you get to where you know for certain the last row/column is.

SAVE as a backup, close and then see if that fixed the problem. If so, rename to orig file. If not, then delete that backup, we will need to look for other options
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
