Hi , im using conditional formatting and using the following rule with the following formula: =$B2=“YES”
When I'm typing YES in column B , its Highlight the row above always, i tried a new sheet and also tried changing the row or text to no success.

The formula must reflect the first row in the applies to range.
So if the applies to range is from row 1 the formula should be
=$B1="Yes"
