I have a question about splitting column by delimiter.
Please refer to below. I want to split to 2 columns and I use power query - get data from table. Split Column by delimiter. This is what I did, I type | |
But the result returns only 1 column with Null. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

|001 | ControlBacklog |
|001 | ControlBacklog |
|001 | ControlBacklog |
I've not used PowerQuery, but even with the normal Text-to-Columns tool, you can only select delimiters of 1 character length (although you can select multiple delimiters, e.g. comma and tab). You can opt to use 'Treat consecutive delimiters as one', so || or ||| would be the same as |.
It might make it easier if you added a column (or columns) to your data that splits the data via function or having used text-to-columns, then base your power query on those columns.

This is very easily done with Text To Columns. This goes much faster than all the text I had to type to describe it. Start the Text To Columns dialog box (Data tab, Data Tools panel) and select Delimited and click Next, select the Space checkbox and in the field next to the Other checkbox, type your pipe symbol (|) and click Next, then select the first column in the table and click the "Do Not Import" option button, select the second column in the table and click the "Text" option button, then click the Finish button.
