    How to sum different format number from one column

    How I can sum different format amount withing a column.

    Like I have a data in column A. Some are in USD format and some are my Local BDT format.
    Now I want to add All USD in a cell, and all BDT in another cell as Total. How can I do that.
    I am attaching a picture of my data cant able to add the excel file.data.JPG

    1. your numbers are not numbers, they are text, and you cannot (directly) add text.

    2. You should try to break out the value from the currency code

    3. To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

    To attach a file to your post,

    click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"
