Data Validation based on value of another cell + length of input

Hi All,

Thanks in advance for your help. I am trying to achieve the following:

In the cells in column K if user inputs "Amadeus" then the value of what they enter in cells in Column L must be = to 9 characters. A stop error would then occur if len < or > than 9 . If the cells in column K does not = "Amadeus" then the text length in column L can be any length. Hope this is clear.

if I'm interpreting your question correctly try this macro
it will search for instances of "amadeus" in column K and return a message box if the length of the contents in the adjacent cell in column L is not 9. If you select "yes" it will take you to that instance of "amadeus" in column k
