Time sheet that can handle rolling over past midnight?

Say i worked a shift from 8pm on a Tuesday evening until 4am on the following Wednesday morning? So 8 hours total.

I can find countless timesheet examples but none so far that can handle counting time that rolls over from one day to the next consecutive day and still add things up accurately.
Does anyone have such an example to share or point to?

One that worked with Google Sheets or includes break time would be icing on the cake, but I should be able to iron those out myself if not.

    Any help is much appreciated!

What isn't working? You should be able to subtract the dates and get the right time regardless of whether it goes across days. Can you attach a spreadsheet that shows what you're doing?

Is it acceptable to post a link to a google spreadsheet? When I try to convert to excel I get #NAME? errors I don't know enough to correct. I'm no expert obviously.

Re: Time sheet that can handle rolling over past midnight?

If I start at 8 am and finish at 8 am the following day the totals should populate accordingly. No luck so far.
I've made a basic version that anyone should be able to edit but please make a copy of the original so others see the starting point.
If anyone cares to bring this into Excel I'm sure I can get it back into Sheets without too much effort.

    Thanks everyone!

One way to get the correct number of hours is to use a formula like this “=MOD(stop_time-start_time,1)" as this will always give the right time difference even if it passes midnight.

Oh, another problem is that I meant for this to be used on the job with a cell phone so I set up a dropdown menu which for some reason stops at 11:45 pm. No idea how to work around that either.
