Need formula to calculate items sold x items= profit

I am not an experienced Excel user but can create simple things. I have forgotten how to make a formula. So, here I am, asking for help.

I have added an attachment but not sure I did it correctly. It shows what I am trying to do. Basically, I want to

(multiply number of items sold by the price each) minus (number sold x item cost) = profit

but do not want to calculate if number sold is blank.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

I figured it out. I had forgotten what symbol to use for multiply. I was using x instead of *. This post can be deleted.
