    Product item Std Runtime

    Hi forum
I am trying to workout a formula to give me an "hourly" rate of a product Standard Runtime, sounds simple enough when I have the actual std runtime but I'm not getting the formula right.

    Example
An assembly code has a Std RunTime of 0.02154, I am trying to work out the expected hourly output if one person was doing this?

    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

As always, please provide a sample workbook.

Ali I don't have a sample workbook, I need a formula to provide a sample. I'll have a think of a way to put something together.

If there is one person with a standard runtime of 0.02154 and you want to get the hourly output, how would you calculate it manually from that information?

I wouldn't, I have tried to do it and the figures are not making sense. I am trying to work out how many hours it would take to run a quantity of say 5000 items which has a std runtime of 0.02154, this would be a team of 3 over x shifts of 7.5 hours each. Other than standing watching how many is done per hour which would take a lot of hours for the amount of products I would like to use the ERP std runtime.

    I'll work on something tonight.

OK - so we need to understand the calculation that would be necessary. What exactly is 0,02154 anyway? Hours? Minutes? Days? What?

What we can help with here, of course, if translating an equation to a formula. You might get lucky and find someone here who knows exactly how this would be done without needing to know any more details. But it's not me - sorry!

Thanks anyway Ali, I think it will need a sample to show what I am looking for just not easy to describe. I'll put something together.

Ali I can close this now as I got it last night, I knew it was simple as I do it all the time but trying too hard to remember.

If manufacturing Standard RunTime = 0.02154 the hourly output would be 46, as it's 1 (being an hour) / 0.02154 = 46 (completed item).
