How to add rows to sheet with protected cells

I have a sheet with 10 columns.
Columns 7 & 10 contain formulas which I would like to protect.
At the bottom of the sheet in column 10 I have an autosum function.
The number of rows can vary but I need to be able to add or delete rows above the cell containing the autosum.
Can this be done simply? If so how?

In Protect Sheet menu, you'll have option to allow insert rows. While maintaining worksheet structure.

However, I'd recommend turning data range into Excel Table first.
As long as the formula syntax is consistent (excluding cell reference), it will replicate formula in newly added row.

As well, instead of Autosum, take advantage of table's Total row to sum values.
