sum and offset formula issue

I have the following formula that I use to calculate "YTD" number by using sum/offset - see below:

Now, I have a list of accounts, and their order may change, so I tried to add "vlookup", however getting a formula issue:

can someone kindly help and let me know whats wrong?

Ah i see...is there a way around to make it reference a specific column? For instance, in the example above, I want it to reference column 4 via the vlookup method....can I use another substitute formula?
