.
Initially I believed the problem was due to setting a number of workbook sheets to xlSheetVeryHidden vs. xlSheetHidden.
After further experimentation I discovered what is actually causing the issue is the use of Command Buttons vs ActiveX Buttons.
I have approx. 11 Command Buttons in use on various sheets within the workbook. They all function as expected - no issue. After
pasting the 12th Command Button on a new sheet ... the problem started. When attempting to assign a macro to the Command Button
the computer goes into a wait state (spinning blue circle indicating the system is doing something), then after 15 seconds of so, Excel
crashes. This occurs no matter how many times I attempt to assign a macro to that 12th button.
I just tried using an ActiveX button to replace the Command Button ... NO PROBLEMS !
Does anyone have any ideas why this is occurring ? I always understood ActiveX buttons were more prone to issues.
?????
Thank you for looking.
