How To Find Average For Number Of Entries

Hi guys,

New to the forum here, I have a question about an expense tracking spreadsheet I have.

Here is a screenshot of the section I need help with:

What I want to do is be able to calculate the daily average profit only for the number of days that I have data for.

I used the function =AVERAGE(O5:O35) to get the average, but it always divides by 31 as there are 31 cells. Even though not all of them are numbers, the cells contain the formulas for determining profit when data is entered.

How can I exclude the cells that don't have any data in them from the dividing number the average is calculated from?
