I have a large list of 180 items and I want to categorize them in 5 broader categories for my data model in PowerQuery. I tried using conditional columns, but I dont want to specify 180 items (inputs) and their output category. Please help.

Have you tried creating a category column with the Column from Examples option?

Yes I have tried, but its same as using Conditional columns though its like auto generating it. Plus I want to create a rule since we will keep bringing new data every day and in one day we might be only working in 5 out of 180 postal codes.
