Scan EAN 128 bar code with leading digit 0 into Excel.

I am trying to scan a EAN 128 bar code with a scanner into Excel. The bar code has 48 digits leading with a 0. For example 019005050000473532020057921318120421368338002419. Since the bar code leads with a 0 it causes Excel to change the inputted data to the following 1.90070247746217E+46. I have tried to format the cell as custom with 48 zeros but Excel still keeps changing the scanned data. I have also tried to format the cell as custom with 0 follow by 47 #'s. Excel still changes the data after enter or tab is pressed to move to the next cell.

How can I fix this issue?

Have you tried the Text format?

I just copied that string and formatted a cell Text. When I pasted the leading 0 held.
