    Result of - instead of $0.00

    Hi All,

    I am getting a result of SUM of 0 and excel reports a dash instead of $0.00 which is my preference.

    I am sure its a simple fix but I have already selected show 0 values in workbook settings so I can not figure out how to fix this.

    Have you ensured the format of L4 is set to "currency"?

    will this fix it for you...
    =IF(OR(J4=0,K4=0),"",J4*K4)
    you don't need to put "SUM" in front of a multiplication.

    Yes, there is a simple fix, you are using "Currency" format type, try number

    Or Accounting format. Set the decimals to get the spacing you want.

    Thanks. The person who had created the workbook was using accounting. I switched it to currency.
