    Frame around referenced image

    In the attached file the image in cell F2, which is referenced via a data validation list in cell E2, has a frame around it, whereas the referenced image(s) in column C do not. Is there either a way to hide/remove this frame or is there possibly another method of accomplishing the data validation reference intent where the referenced image does not have a frame? I went through all of the picture formatting features I could find with no success. Thanks. Office 365.
