    Formula for Employees' Productivity

    Good day,

I would like to seek help with the formula for Productivity.
The problem is, I have one guy which has a high average in his performance made in receiving and he doesn't have errors and is 100% accurate but
he falls on 79% productivity only and ranks at no.7 which is supposed to be the no.1

Appreciate your help and thank you in advance!

    Please try at U7

    =IF(T7="","",RANK(T7,$T$7:$T$19,1)+COUNTIFS(T$7:T7,"<>",T$7:T7,T7)-1)

    Re: Formula for Employees' Productivity

Sorry, I don't know to calculate productivity.

This is just my thought, you may try at T7

    =IF(K7,(K7-Q7)/MAX($K$7:$K$19),"")

Restie - how would you manually calculate productivity? Unless you share your mathematical formula with us, we can't help.

Thank Bo_Ry for sharing your thought, appreciate much, I'll try that formula.

    Hi AliGW,

I think i'm not sure if Productivity or Efficiency and Effectiveness is the right term for this.

I'm not interested in the name for it. I asked you how you would calculate it manually - what is the maths you would use?

    Hi AliGW,

I just subtract Accuracy percentage to Average of total transactions.

    Re: Formula for Employees' Productivity

And that gives you 79%, so why do you think it's wrong? Are you saying that you do not have confidence in your own mathematical assumptions?

What you need to do is go away and find out the correct way to calculate these things: that's beyond the scope of these forums. What we can help you to do is implement a mathematical formula in Excel, not tell you what that formula should be. Do you understand?

It's not that I don't have a confidence with my mathematical assumption, that's why I post here to make sure that my formula is correct since I'm just new to excel. We'll anyway thank you for your input and Good day.

    Thank you!

    Re: Formula for Employees' Productivity

Well, if your formula is not producing the correct result, then it's not correct. That's precisely what I mean - if you are using the wrong formula, then you need to find out what formula you should be using. Does this make sense?

Yeah! It does make sense, but the question is, what formula is it? I just wanted to get the formula for their productivity. Can you suggest?

    Re: Formula for Employees' Productivity

I don't think you understand: knowing what the formula is for this is beyond the scope of this forum. You need to find out what the formula should be. We can't help you with that - we are not productivity analysts. Being good at using Excel does not mean that any of us has specific expertise in the field of business analysis.

    I would start here: https://www.google.co.uk/search?sour....0.he_atgqrBGw

Once you have found out how it is done, then you can apply that to your Excel spreadsheet and we can help you to check the formula. We can't provide the formula, though: YOU need to do that before we can go any futher.

EDIT Here is an example of what I mean: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...-equating.html

Here the OP has done his homework ahead of posting and found out the specific formula required for his particular case. This is what you need to do here. I hope this illustrates what I mean.
