Is it possible to copy conditional formatting rules?

I have a few cells which need 30+ rules applied to them, it's quite a headache to have to set the same format for each one repeatedly. I can copy/paste the formula and plug in the new values, but the format has to be set over and over. Also, if it is not possible to simply copy rules and edit them, is there a way to add a format to a quick list of some sort?

You can use the "format painter" on the home tab

I don't see a way to access that while I am inside of the conditional formatting window. That would be ideal if it's possible, please let me know.

You do it from within Xl not the Cf window.
Select as cell with Cf & use the format painter. You can then go into CF & change the rule

There is only 1 cell, it's just that there are like 30 rules applied to that cell. When I click the format painter, it does not suddenly apply the same format to all 30 rules. I don't understand, can you explain better how this works?

I think I understand the confusion. I'm not trying to copy all 30 rules to another cell, I'm trying to make an easier way to type out all 30 rules to begin with.

    Ok, I got you.
Unfortunately I don't know of any shortcuts to do that.

Go to the Microsoft User Voice page and add the request and/or vote up the existing CF improvement requests.
