Conditional Formatting

I would like to set up cells so certain text entries add a fill (black text with the fill) The entries come from a drop down list:

Complete - Green fill
Late - Red fill
Behind Schedule - Yellow fill

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

Hi, welcome to the forum

see if this gets you started - you will need a new rule for each color

1. highlight the range you want to apply the conditional formatting to (C2)
2. on the home tab, styles, select CF
3. select new rule, select use formula
4. enter =C2="Complete"
Format Fill Green

Repeat this for the other conditions
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
