Excel won't come across entirey of second screen

Hi, I have a dual monitor set up and everything is working fine, including other Microsoft Office programmes, except Excel. The window itself fills the screen perfectly and any pop ups are fine, but the sheet itself does not fill the entire window (see attached image). I've tried dragging it across and changing the size of the window but to no avail.
    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Does this solution work?

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

Re: Excel won't come across entirey of second screen

In Excel 2010 the Workbook and the Excel window are not the same thing. The Excel window contains the Workbook windows. In this fashion its possible for a workbook to take up only a portion of the Excel window.

There are many possible factors to this, the above post will help if the structure of the workbook has been protected preventing you from altering window sizes or adding sheets to the workbook.

Another option if protection isnt the culprit is to simply maximize the workbook within the window. See this image:

The red circle is around the workbook portion of the minimize/maximize and close buttons, the Excel window buttons are above it. You want to maximize from the Workbook buttons.

Alternatively use the View | Arrange All option to arrange the workbook windows in the visible space of the Excel window, then maximize the workbook.

What is odd to me in your screenshot is that you have a vertical scroll bar for the workbook and then the grey areat to the right appears like a pane, with its own scroll bar next to the workbook scroll bar. This could potentially be a pane open thats not functional (like from an addin). Try opening Excel in safe mode to see if the issue is present there. Run "excel.exe /safe" (without the quotes). If it doesnt happen in safe mode, you may need to disable addins/templates to resolve the problem.
Ways to get help: Post clear questions, explain your overall goal, supply as much background as possible, respond to questions asked of you by those trying to help and post sample(s) files.

Thank you both for your replies.

Zer0Cool - After restarting my computer it appears to have sorted itself out - there was no maximise option at the time, I'd tried arranging the windows and I'm not running any addins or anything so I doubt any of these were the issue.

Special-K - I'll try your solution if the problem occurs again
