I have two excel files X1 and X2, both have 3 columns each. The names of the three columns are same in both the files Data 1, Data 2 and Date. The data in each file are supposed to match. X1 contains the latest Data and needs to be reconciled with X2. What is the best way to do it?

Maybe something like this in X1...
=A1=[X1.xlsx]sheet1lio1!A1
copied down and across as needed
a match will show TRUE, otherwise FALSE
