I have a question about creating dynamic connection between workbooks. I have successfully connected one workbook to another by following the instructions below which were taken from Office online support. However the formatting from the imported worksheet did not transfer across to the other worksheet. The formatting was only simple like coloured font and cells filled with different colours. Is it possible to transfer the formatting over ?

Click the Data tab, then Get Data > From File > From Workbook. If you don't see the Get Data button, click New Query > From File > From Workbook.

Browse to the workbook in the Import Data window.

In the Navigator window, select the table or worksheet you want to import, then click Load or Edit.
