replace value and devide by 1000 for selected cells only

hello, I have some imported which has columns with B and M after some values. (B = Billion, M = Million) I need only the value in Billions. Therefore I replaced B with "" (nothing) it solved my problem partially. Now if I replace M, as I need the values in Billions, I also need to divide those cells by 1000. M values are in multiple columns. I don't know how to do this. any help would be really appreciated.
