Alternate shading based on group in a filtered table

I have a table in which I would like to shade alternate groups of rows (not alternate rows). The issue I am having is when I filter, like groups are shaded the same color since the conditional formatting is still looking at hidden rows. I can use a helper column or two.

If the list below is filtered on Vegetables, I would want Carrot shaded and Peas un-shaded. Currently what is happening is both carrot and peas are being shaded.

I would like to avoid VBA.

    Fruit Banana 1
    Fruit Orange 5
    Fruit Orange 4
    Fruit Orange 3
    Vegetable Carrot 10
    Vegetable Carrot 9
    Fruit Mango 2
    Vegetable Peas 11
    Vegetable Peas 12

Can you post a sample workbook with mock expected outcome.

Thank you. Unfortunately I just can't get the attachment to work. I will keep trying to solve myself. Thanks for your help.

This is what I was able to get to work, however, when I put it in my real table, it takes too long to process. Any other ideas how I could accomplish this? I think the Aggregate
formula is what is taking so long.
